Women of the Water

Chanista karns

Founder

After completing an Ashtanga mentorship in Durango, Colorado in 2014 with Sarah Klein, Chanista returned home to Tulsa and completed her 200-hour YTT with Everyone Yoga School. She began teaching immediately — and hasn’t stopped since.

From preschool classrooms to elder communities, from spiritual studios to strength-based gyms, Chanista has taught yoga across a wide range of spaces and seasons of life. As Creative Director of I AM Kids Yoga, she worked alongside Dana Morris to bring yoga into Tulsa Public Schools, and later expanded her work to support individuals in addiction recovery.

Her teaching is deeply rooted in her love of the outdoors and her belief that movement is medicine. Her classes are creative and very playful - expect poetry & a little laughter.

River Flow Yoga Studio is the embodiment of that vision — a space grounded in nature’s rhythm, where practice & play becomes a way of life.

Amy Grace

Yoga instructor

Amy began teaching in Brooklyn after receiving her 200-hour YTT through Yoga to the People in 2010. Nearly two decades later, she is still invigorated and inspired by the magic of yoga. There are many ways to move your body, but nothing compares to the science and spirituality of this practice.

Her classes are playful, inventive, and trauma-informed — thoughtfully curated as a balanced blend of reflection, challenge, and relaxation.

For Amy, yoga is about community. By consistently showing up, we nurture relationships with those we practice alongside, with ourselves, and with the loved ones closest to us. We are given the opportunity to strengthen our bodies and minds so we can stand powerfully for what is right and true in our world.

If you’re drawn to depth and genuine care, Amy’s class is a beautiful space to reconnect with the love that already exists within you.

Selda Rose has been practicing and living yoga for over 12 years. Her classes blend foundational yoga, breath, and mindful movement, creating a peaceful space for students to explore their own path.

With a steady and grounded approach, Selda guides from a place of presence — honoring both the physical structure of the practice and the subtle inner landscape it reveals. She believes yoga is not about performance, but about returning to yourself again and again with patience and curiosity.

Each class begins with intentional breath and closes in deep rest and meditation, supporting integration, presence, and gentle healing. Students can expect thoughtful sequencing, spacious transitions, and an atmosphere that feels calm, safe, and welcoming.

Her teaching invites you to slow down, tune in, and reconnect — leaving you feeling balanced, restored, and more at home in your body.

Sandi Cox

Yoga Instructor

Sandi has been a student of yoga for over 20 years and began teaching in 2021. The way the practice cultivates a quiet sense of discipline immediately resonated with her, cementing yoga as a core part of her movement and mindfulness practice.

She specializes in creative, powerful classes designed to build strength while emphasizing creativity, autonomy, and a trauma-informed approach. Her experience spans from studio classes to facilitating workshops for social work professionals.

Sandi’s goal is to empower students to connect with their inner voice and move with presence and purpose. She loves a good playlist, and her classes often feature playful transitions that invite curiosity, laughter, and a sense of exploration.

Students can expect a practice that builds strength while making space for creativity, connection, and a little bit of fun along the way.

Celeste McNeal Wood

Yoga Instructor

Celeste McNeal Wood has been teaching embodied, Kundalini-inspired yoga in Tulsa for over 20 years. She first experienced the chanting and breath-infused movements while still in the womb over 48 years ago… and two decades later, after college, she rediscovered this practice — with every cell in her body remembering.

This experience has shaped her path, guiding her work in childbirth and women’s embodiment, and deepening her connection to our innate desire to live with purpose and alignment.

Her classes carry a playful, energetic vibe, inviting students to explore the subtle body, sound current, and the power of breath within the body temple. Expect to move in rhythm with the music, awakening and transforming stagnant energy into something fluid and alive.

Students often leave feeling reconnected to Source energy, grounded in their truth, and internally recalibrated.

You can find Celeste’s classes aligned with the rhythms of the New and Full moons, along with special workshops throughout the year.

Felicity Skelton

Yoga Instructor

Felicity has been on the mat for over 16 years and teaching for nearly a decade.

Rooted in Hatha, she guides Vinyasa, Yin, Prenatal, Mama & Baby, Yoga Nidra, and meditation — across community spaces, corporate settings, and everywhere in between.

She believes the practice of yoga is for every body, every level, and every kind of day. Felicity reads the room, meets students where they are, and creates a space that feels less like a class and more like coming home.

A mama and community-builder at heart, she shows up for her students the way she hopes anyone would show up for her — with steadiness, care, and intention.

Morgan began practicing yoga over a decade ago, curious about the connection between mindfulness and movement. She initially fell in love with power and hot yoga, but over time her practice has evolved into a softer, more intentional exploration of asana.

In 2022, Morgan received her RYT-200 certification through the I AM Yoga Teacher Training School with Melissa Cameron here in Tulsa, and went on to teach at I AM Yoga Studio for several years.

Her teaching style is thoughtful and accessible, guiding students step by step through movement. She incorporates kramas, or stages, to help prepare the body for what comes next, creating a practice that feels both supportive and progressive.

Outside of the physical practice, one of Morgan’s favorite parts of yoga is the community it creates. She loves seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones, and believes the connections formed in shared practice are one of yoga’s greatest gifts.

In her classes, Morgan hopes students leave feeling grounded, supported, and a little more connected — both to themselves and to the community around them.

Jessica Te Ruki

Yoga Instructor

Jessica has been practicing yoga for over 15 years, first falling in love with it in a college class. She has been teaching for the past two years, with the intention of creating a space where people feel empowered to let go of expectations, listen to their bodies, and find freedom through movement.

Initially drawn to the way yoga challenged her physical limits in a safe and supportive environment, she has since developed a deep appreciation for the mental clarity and focus it brings to her life.

Her teaching style is rooted in Vinyasa, blending strength with softness to create a balanced and accessible practice.

Jessica calls Tulsa home, and outside of the studio she can often be found making art, organizing community events, or spending time in nature.

In her classes, you can expect to move with intention, explore with curiosity, and leave feeling more grounded, open, and free.
